USAA Car Loan Included In Bankruptcy???

My mother bought a new car for me in Feb 2001 and I co-signed on the loan.  I had to file Chapt 13 in Oct 2005.  My mother made all of the payments and were auto payed directly from her USAA account.  Every single monthly payment was made (by my mother) on time and the car was "paid in full".  USAA showed this loan for a very long time as "charged off-bad debt" until I sent them a letter demanding that they correct this.  Now, it appears on all credit reports as "Included In Chapter 13".  Sheesh...paid for 5 full years (on time) only to have it now as a negative on my credit report.  Is this a correct reporting and/or is there anything I can do to change it?

Re: USAA Car Loan Included In Bankruptcy???

If the loan was paid in full and no portion of the loan was IIB, then it is indeed inaccurate and you need to contact them in writing if they are verifying the disputes.

Your mother should have payment records and you can request an investigation and payment history to support their claim of IIB.

Don't take it personally, everything is computerized and if you are correct, you can get it fixed with some time, patience and communication.  USAA is a good organization.
