USAA Membership

Has anyone here applied for membership uner "Other Membership"?  I joined over the weekend and their website states that all products and services except auto and property insurance are available.  But, when I click on auto loans, it gives me a message that says I am not eligible for that.  I called and was told that as well.  I don't understand why it says I am eligible on their site for membership, even as a none military person but I am still not allowed to get what it says I am eligible for.

I sent an email asking for clarification.      Has anyone else had this happen?

Non-military members are not eligible for every USAA product.  I do not know if that is the case or not with auto loans.

Here is the verbage:

USAA's investment products, most checking and savings products, credit cards, life insurance, and shopping and discounts are available to other individuals. While auto and property insurance policies are not available due to membership eligibility requirements, we can still help.

The following products are available to other individuals:

Product Availability Insurance Banking Investments Shopping and Discounts

Life insurance Auto insurance not available through USAA. Please call 1-888-870-8096. Property insurance not available through USAA.

Checking and Savings Checking for Teens and College Students Youth Savings Certificates of Deposit (CDs) CD IRAs Prepaid Card Credit Cards

I interpret this to mean all products are available to "Other Individuals".  Am I reading this wrong?
