Re: What are the best rates for my situation?

update for anyone interested. I found what I was looking for and made my purchase. We got a great price for our trade and made a deal on the new car for 2500$ under invoice. Im very happy thus far with everything.

burbank city federal credit union turned out to be the anwser for me. they are extremely helpful and competitive with rates. I saw their tier sheet and it is very reasonable. 680 TU scores get you their prime rates. Over 700 get their AA prime rates. One hard pull for every product... auto loan, credit card, or personal loan. I am even consolidating my debt with them for a quarter of the percent of my CCs. Good bye high utilization!

these forums have such a wealth of information, thank you everyone!

2015 Honda CRV AWD.

my payments are lower by about 100$. Total amount loaned was lower as well.

With a lot of patience and research I was able to get out from under my 10% apr ALLY loan with the tundra.

These forums helped me build my credit profile and attack the real causes that were dragging down my score.

Great choice, should easily outlast the loan!

My daughter had a 98 and kept it till late 2012, when she traded it for a new 2013.  She is even happier with that one.

By not identifying what you want makes it hard to suggest things.

Ford Credit is giving 0% down to Tier 2, IE all you need is 670 Auto 08 and no negatives to get it. This and Toyota or Nissan's 0% are by far the best you can get from the captives.

If you can get DCU or PenFed's lowest rates, then take that and the rebates available.

looking at the nissan rogue awd , mitsubishi outlander sport awd, toyota rav4 awd

At 680 a good finance manager can get you 0% at either toyota or Nissan if offered.

maybe..maybe not. a good finance manager would shop that rate around and add a few % to it. And shorten the term to 60 months. I wanted an auto loan on my terms, not what some stranger finance manager can "do for me". thanks for the tip though. besides, those 0% offers are for 60 months max. Usually that lower interest rate comes with a hike in the selling price. Dealerships are there to make money on you, not help. a good finance manager knows this.

I disagree, I have 2 cars financed at promo rates and got great deals on both.

I see you boght your car so a big congrats!  Enjoy the new car smell!
