credit union

Well I'm at the local credit union today to open an account. I'm really only doing it for an auto loan. I've read that while I am here I should look into getting the loan while I'm here so I'm gonna go ahead and ask. Right now my fico scores are 547 eq 546 ex and 574 tu. I'm currently waiting to be seen. So what do you guys think would be a likely situation? Background includes 4 or 5 really old baddies that will fall off here in the next 6 months. Cap one card and 3 stores cards all payed down. And I had a 5 year car loan that I paid off in 3 years. With 3 30 day late payments in the beginning.

Re: credit union

1st I want to apologize for putting this in the wrong spot thanks for moving it. I think I was just really excited. So first thing is first. I was approved and while some would say nope don't do it, it is way better then what I was offered a few weeks ago which was 20% apr. Drumroll please.... I was approved for a auto loan of 22k at 10.9% apr For 63 months. I think the lady thought I was crazy because I was basically jumping for joy in her office. Once I truly decide what to get I will post a good ol quot approval. Thank you so much guys for all of the info it was really helpful!

Thank you. I'm so excited for this. I will prob be online all weekend looking at cars in my area from the dealerships that the CU works with. trying to keep payments below $325 if at all possible.

Yeah, this is the fun part, picking out a car.  Whatever you decide on, negotiate, negotiate, negotiate and don't let them try to fit you into a payment.  Work off of the total price of the car.  Good luck!
