lease expiring

I got laid off in Febuary and got behind on my lease payment.  My lease expires in 4 months.  I think I will have a hard time getting another car. Would it be better for me to see if the bank that holds the lease will roll the balanced owed into the purchase price and just buy the car?

If you are already behind now, I doubt they'll have much faith in you keeping up with the car note. It ouldn't hurt to try though. What kind of car is it? & what yr?
