multiple inquires

so I applied for an auto loan at a Lexus dealership. I notice I have 7 additional inquires since. Is there a way to legally have those inquires removed from my credit report.

Re: multiple inquires

Not likely. When you authorize them to run your credit, they typically shotgun it to several lenders and see what rates and results come back. To avoid that, come in with financing in hand. The upside is that those seven inquiries will affect your score as if they were one inquiry, not seven, although lenders will be able to see all of them.

No.  The fine print in the credit app states they will "shop" your app around to other lenders, not just to Toyota Financial (Lexus).  IMO, the sales reps should tell people this upon filling out a credit app also.
