so in 2019 i bought a truck, kept it for 7 months paid loan off and bought a 2020, did same thing and bought a 2021.......i noticed on first 2 trucks that when i made a payment and even made 3 payments ahead of shedule i would get a nice bump in all my scores.....i always got some pts everytime it posted
but on this truck ive done same program and this is 3rd month in a row i didnt get any pts for paying my auto loan.....am 2 months ahead and received 0 pts across all 3 bureaus......is the algorithym being tougher because of the situation the world is in.......i dont understand how credit game is all about consistency but scoring models are not......everything else on my credit is the same.
Everything else on your credit isn't the same. Each new loan drops your AAoA. There's probably other changes you're not aware of.

The algorithm doesn't change, no scoring metrics have changed due to the pandemic or any other external factor.
As mentioned above me, your aging metrics have changed. Did you take out a loan with a longer term this time? Do you have any other open loans? Points gained from paying installment loans are from crossing either utilization or balance thresholds, none of these thresholds have been solidly identified other than 10% installment utilization, so you may just not have crossed a threshold to gain points yet.
all my auto loans had/have same term, of course 2 are paid off.....so only 1 open at a time as has been the case on each of these vehicles, this is only one i havent received pts from......both of the others i would every month, also loan balance is roughly the same with payments being really close to same as well.......my age of the loan is roughly the same as i am in the 6th month currently and both other vehicles i kept for 10 months and 7 months b4 paying off.....just trying to figure out why this truck seems to be different than other 2
have 1 installment loan and 2 revolvers ( be 3 this month later when AMEX starts posting)
