1 mth post chp7 DC scores...Am I on track???

Score update : all scores are FICO and chp 7 DC'Ed 8/19/13

July 2013- all scores low to mid 400's
8/23/13- EX 521, EQ 569, TU 468

CURRENTLY (30 days post BK DC)-
9/17/13- EX 567, EQ 644, TU 527

I'm still disputing with all 3 CRA, and have a few accts not reporting correctly from BK. My new secured Visa is not showing yet, and my student loans x2 are showing current and open.

I just thought I'd see a bigger jump once bk was school, and it's been almost at one month. So am I doing what I need to be doing? I'm clearing up the CRA's the best I can to report correctly, got a secured visa for $500 ( which I know SoulMaster hates, lol) . Just waiting for the student loans and visa to start reporting.

I'd like to be at least 650 across the board in 6months!! Please share any thoughts! Thank you!!!

I know it is hard BUT... For now try to focus on building a credit profile and worry less about the score. Easier said than done but I swear the score will follow.

Re: 1 mth post chp7 DC scores...Am I on track???

650 in 6 months is doable. It took me 6 months to get everything reporting correctly, and I still have 1 stubborn acct. on EQ, and a DC'd tax lien on EQ and EX that I decided to leave as is because it should fall off in a little over a year. It does take patience and persistence. I also had 3 erroneous collection accounts show up after 5 or 6 months, which I understand is not unusual, and they were removed quickly. As your new, positive TL's start reporting you should see your scores go up every month.

SoulMaster's guide is excellent. Keep reading and picking up some hints. I'm 10 months out now, have 8 good tradelines and some of my CL's have increased nicely. All my scores are 650ish, and they go up every month.

I just pulled all of my scores and they are also in the low to mid 400's.  I kind of freaked out until I read your post.  I am filing soon (I was hoping sooner but I didn't realize how long the paperwork would take!).  I'm determined to improving my credit (and keeping it that way!) but I am hoping that my scores will jump up a bit after I discharge.  Anyways... your post lifted me up a little bit to know that your scores were similiar to mine and you are on the right track Smiley Happy
