341 over - an observation

I finally had my 341 today - the worst part was waiting on a conference call with peoples dogs barking and TVs blasting. My questions lasted about 5 mins (name, give part SSN/DL number, asked if i signed papers, if i was familiar with the petition, if i had any property, where I worked, if I wanted to ammend anything) but WOW so many people were unprepared and or just lying... as in flat out lying about assets.. I guess i just want to say if you are truthful and are familair with your petition you are fine, I know its hard not to worry just dont try to hide vacation homes, cars with loans on them! bank accounts or businesses and it will be ok.

That's the difference between those who go through it with a lawyer and those that try and do it pro se.  I mean, you definitely can try and do it yourself to try and save some money, but having an attorney makes things so much easier.  And if you have an attorney, they will make sure that you don't lie or try and hide anything.  Plus, it's not worth it to lie because they WILL find out in the end.

Re: 341 over - an observation

In my case before the pandemic it was in person. my lawyer had estimated value for my property by a licenced realtor and the trustee had that but she still asked me questions about it, date of purchase, what i paid for it and a few others.
