Great, thanks for your response! I have not applied yet, I was simply wondering if once the time passes it will automatically pre-qualify. From your experience, it seems like it does! How recent was your application and approval?
I'm at 5 year post BK7. (filed March 2015, discharged June 2015. Maybe I'm not yet 5 years and 1 month. I just went on AmEx pre-qual site, it says: "CA Mailman, we could not find Pre-Qualified Offers for you at this time."
Mind you, I'm on AmEx as AU on my wife's 2 AmEx cards. I've never had AmEx on my own and never filed on it too.
Am I still too early?
I got back in with AMEX 5 years and 1 month post BK7 filing. Delta Platinum..
I burned 5 accounts (3 business cards and 3 personal cards) with AMEX in my personal BK Ch7 1 year ago. AMEX probably will never let me back in.
Wait, do we start counting when our BK starting date as when the BK was posted on our credit report or when the BK was formally discharted? My BK was reported on my credit report as May 12, 2019, but the formal discharged was until October 30, 2019. Which date do I use as my starting date?
I guess I can try in November 1, 2025!!

@ToofDoc I think they might eventually, but it can take decades from what I've heard/read.
It took me 10 years to get back in with American Express. I burned them for about 5k on a chapter 7. When I tried to get pre approved, I was declined. I decided to apply anyway for the AME gold... Everything turned out well.
