Amazon card.. Synchrony? Chase? Difficulty level?

dudes/dudettes,

I shop at amazon on the daily. It would be nice to get 5% back.

I noticed that some dudebros post about getting a synchrony Amazon card, and others post about Chase. Is there a way to choose which one I apply to somehow? I'm sure synchrony would be easier since Chase was IIB.

I was discharged around 7 months ago. Any tips/tricks/input would be appreciated.

Hi,

You choose which card you want to apply for when you click apply.  It gives you the option of either the visa or the store card.

The VISA is chase.  The store card is Synch.

Chase difficulty level is over 9000.  At least for me because I burned them in bk.

Synch is a little easier but they have been acting funky lately so might want to read around on the forums first.

Apply for the Amazon store card (not the Visa).  You will not be approved for Chase until many years post BK.

I don't recall when I was approved, but Amazon approved me within a few months after our discharge for a around $500 or so (IIRC), that card is now at $4,000 about 18 months later.

Lowe's is also Synchrony, as is Walmart, Care Credit and many others.  You can see in my signature they have been very generous to me way less than two years post BK.

NFCU Rewards - $18,000, NFCU Signature - $18,000, NFCU LOC - $15,000, Care Credit - $7,700, Lowe's - $6,400, Capital One QS - $5,000, Walmart - $5,000, Amazon - $4,000

Good advice. Thanks.

I wonder if I can apply for a bunch of Synchrony cards at once and only waste one HP?

Nah brah.  1 Pull. 1 Card. No combining with Sync.

I am the Jon Snow of Bankruptcy. I know nothing.  I do know how/when/where Synchrony Bank Hardpulls for credit.
