Approved for NFCU

I heard so much about them from everyone, I had to check them out. I had joined both DCU and NASA, but it seems they aren't very BK friendly. I will keep the accounts open (putting $20/paycheck into savings with both) to hopefully be able to do something with them when the BK is a lilttle older.

My father-in-law is retired Air Force, so my wife was able to join through him and them me through her. Got Savings and Checking. Applied for a credit card as well. Got a text message this morning saying I was approved and to expect my credit card in the next 7-10 days, but haven't seen anything about how much I was approved for. My wife also applied for one and we are waiting to hear the response from her.

I hope we are treated like some of you have been. My wife will be going by one of the branches to take all of our documentation to get it all finalized.

Awesome news and welcome to NFCU! You should be able to login online and see the credit card account listing the limit. Congrats!!

my father was in the AirForce (he passed away a couple years ago), would I qualify for NFCU?

If he was retired from the Air Force and you have his DD214 or similar paperwork, you should qualify. You have to call though, you can't process an application like that online. Good luck!

Yeah i just talked to them he was only in for 4 years so i'm not qualified. oh well.

Congrats!! I'm so jealous of the people who can get into NFCU. The posts I've read on here about the services and lines of credit they offer is awesome.

NFCU called this afternoon to welcome me as a new member. I'm excited to see if they are really BK friendly. Have others had good results with NFCU right after a BK?

Haha, are you reading the forums you're on? (this is meant as a complete joke) NFCU is a savior for us with a recent BK Treat them right and they will return the favor
