My chapter 13 BK is going to age 36 months next month, I am wondering if anyone has seen any score jumps as the BK ages another year.
Only initially when you reestablish credit but bk seems to limit. It kind of peeks then stays steady for a while.
But like other things on credit, after 12 months, 24 months, 36 months and 48 months. They seem to hurt less and less.
Are you still in your payment plan? I did not see any significant improvement until after mine discharged which for me was 5 years. I did not watch it that close while I was in payment as I just assumed it was crap anyway. After discharge, I went from the mid 500's to the low 600's
My BK discharged 8 months ago, I had a very short payment plan. My scores are in the upper 600s now.
OP
no, I don't think it really works like that.
36 months is not any different than 35 or 37.
36 months is however different than 24 or 12.
scores are based on your file, not anniversary dates.
my scores just jumped 50 points because I had my last late account erased.
my scores have been up or down 20 points for last 2 years depending on balances, inquiries, AAoA, and maybe the weather.
just keep making smart decisions and it will steadily rise.

Its going to hit 36 months tomorrow, I will report back if I get some kind of score alert.
I don't think it will change much. As someone else said it is based on other factors on your account such as lates and utilization.
Mine didn't change much until it was discharged and changes based on how I use my credit.
And no change.
