Update on the burn!
So I didnt end up burning Chase because I was an Authorized User. That account was able to be closed out with a zero balance. I thought that since the account was listed, it meant it was burned but its not. Thats good news!
So my updated burning logs of credit are:
Cap1 (P&QS) - 2k (ish)
AMEX - 9k - burned for life I am sure.
Not too bad.
Anybody know if the Citi Secured Card is worth apping for these days? I read on here that it graduates eventually.
If you're interested in getting back in with Amex, some on the boards have gone the Optima route. If you're interested. I'm not sure about Citi as I burned them through Best Buy during my CH13 so I can't comment.

Citi secured will deny with a BK. No need to waste a HP.

Update on the case and credit report...
My previous apartments sent a letter to me trying to collect their money. They were included in the BK7 filing. I notified my attorney so I will see what he says tomorrow.
I couple HPs showed up on my credit report due to my checking of auto loans this week. Im not super concerned.
Looks like I will be able to put off the purchase of a vehicle. My current truck is fixable and at the shop.

Once a creditor is notified that you have filed bankruptcy its against federal law for them to try and collect that debt, perhaps they werent properly notified? your lawyer will know.

My attorney said he would send them a copy of my BK document. Attorney also confirmed they were listed on the filing (which I knew).
Not sure if they just didnt receive it or they didnt care. Either way, Im sure it will get resolved.
5 more weeks until my discharge date! Theyll go fast I am sure. Its crazy that I started this thread in August and here it is almost time for Thanksgiving.
After much research, I decided to go ahead and app for the Open Sky credit card.
I was approved and put $400 towards the limit. I should arrive in a few weeks - probably right on time for my discharge.
The reason I felt like I could app before discharge is the card is secured with no credit check required and like I said the timing will work out. I won't use it until I am fully discharged and will then go through the process of verifying reports IIB and $0 balance.
Another step forward! I will also post in the Credit forum.
Edit to add 11/19/22: Oops! I forgot to mention that I did check with my attorney (that checked with the trustee) and it was approved. Thanks for catching that. I agree that opening credit while in BK is not advised without at least checking first! Thanks @Guyatthebeach for reminding me.
