Hello myFico,
First I would like to thank this community for all the guidance and support you were able to provide during my Chapter 7 bankruptcy process.
Background
I found myself in a situation where I had total credit card debt that was just under 300% of my annual net income. Once I received my first notice of small claim trial, I contacted a bankruptcy attorney the following day. I had my 341 creditors meeting in June and received my discharge yesterday (checked PACER and it's there, have not yet received by mail).
Today, I received my first pre-qualified credit card offer in the mail. The offer was for a LendUp Arrow Credit Card, 29.99% APR with a $59 annual fee. I have been reading this form extensively since my 341 hearing and was eager to start my rebuilding process as soon as I had my BK discharge in hand. So after receiving this letter, I decided to pull the trigger...
BOOM- approved for a $750 CL one day after receiving my CH7 discharge. From all the research I had done prior to apping, it seems like this LendUp Arrow card is one of the better rebuilding cards out there, so I was lucky getting this prequal offer.
Now- to those of you out there who are skimming this forum because you are drowing in debt and contemplating bankruptcy, let me tell you this: If you cannot pay your bills, file sooner rather than later. You will find yourself relieved of all the stress that you were feeling from drowing in debt and soon be on the road to recovery.
Thanks again to this community for all the help and I will be sure to keep all of you up to date on my credit rebuilding journey!
