Can I get out of the car loan?

Filed 11/2018, closed 3-19.
I re affirmed my auto loan thinking I was going to keep it. But having thoughts bout keeping it. What are my options. Am I able to get rid of it because I re affirmed it ? Or should I just trade it in?

When you reaffirm your car loan basically it is as if it wasn't included with your bk. There is a 60 or 90 day window where you can change your mind, but that time has past.

Your only choice would be to trade it in, if you stop paying they will reposses and you will be responsible for balance after they sell. You don't have the BK protection since you  reaffirmed  it.

Re: Can I get out of the car loan?

Since I did re-affirm I am locked in to keep it with out it causing problems w credit etc ?

Not sure if I read that right. Yes I did re affirm my auto w my Bk.
If all falls I’ll just trade it in, I am rebuilding and don’t want and hiccups!!

Re: Can I get out of the car loan?

you have no options related to your BK.

Rebuild started in 2014  -  $100k unsecured credit in 2017  -  $500k unsecured credit in 2024.
