Hello and thanks for any input on this.
I have a CH7 BK file date 5/2015. I just heard about this EE and we are getting ready to dive into looking into buying a house. I would love to have my credit clean before we attempt to get pre approved.
I read a bunch of others experience and found the TU link for EE. My question is would me requesting the EE affect anything else on my credit? The included lenders are of course still showing on my credit report but closed and in good standing.
Would these be taken off as well?
some of these accounts were opened nearly 20 years ago, but even if they are closed already, would it hurt my average credit history if they are taken off my credit report totally?
thanks for any feedback!
Do you have new positive credit established again? Usually the only people that experience points losses after a BK is removed are those who didn't establish enough new positive history/accounts. Otherwise, most people see a significant jump in their scores.
The BK should be the last negative item on your reports, any old accounts that were associated with the BK will be wiped off when the BK gets removed.
sorry I should of mentioned some of that info.
I have 4 cc open, 2 were right after BK as credit rebuilding and 2 from capital one now. my score now is 750ish with only the bk as a negative. however I noticed that my credit indicates that my oldest account is 21 years. so am I to guess when the bk totally falls off in a few months even without the EE, those old accounts would? my oldest account since the bk would be about 9 years.
I have only a federal student loan, no car or mortgage, just 4 cc currently. always keeping my total debt ratio below 10% and tried very hard to rebuild my credit quickly but cautiously.

This is interesting because last week I had my ch 13 deleted on TU through EE, but 5 cards on my account that say "included in bankruptcy" are still on my report. Should I go back and dispute those?

Any adverse information reported which is more than 7 years old should be removed (as stipulated by FCRA) from your reports. If they're still there, I'd dispute those accounts politely stating they're "too old to report".
