Chapter 7 DC (rebuilding again)

Filed in June DC early September. I burned quite a few banks. But was able to pre qualify for Cap 1 so I applied and got a 2k platinum card. Couldn't believe it since I had 3 or 4 cards that iib. I also was approved for their Walmart MasterCard but 500 CL to start. I accepted the Mission Lane deal for 750.00 and the Credit one Amex for 600. 4 inquires 4 unsecured cards. Time to just garden now I would assume. Honestly I couldn't believe I got the Walmart MasterCard I couldn't get that one before just the store card.

Congrats! Any loans in your mix for the rebuild bonus?

Re: Chapter 7 DC (rebuilding again)

Thanks for the reply. No, no loans yet I just started with those 4 apps for revolvers. Not sure how to tackle the loan part quite yet. We are evacuated from this Fawn fire so I really haven't had time to really try and figure out the loan part. I thought about possibly an auto loan. Capitol one Pre qualified me for a car loan. Not sure how good that would be however

An auto loan would do the trick; if you don't need a new(er) car you can open an SSL via PenFed or Navy Federal (if you qualify to join).

Re: Chapter 7 DC (rebuilding again)

I really don't want a huge payment obligation along with full coverage for years. Done that many times and it gets old. I'm not a vet so I don't think I can join them. But have been part of my credit union for a few years so I may ask them about a secured small loan maybe

You can now join PenFed without having served in the military; they have one of the best SSLs going (and some pretty good credit cards too), I strongly recommend it.
