Chapter 7 just discharged. How long until it reports as discharged on my reports?

Its been a rough year to say the least.  DH has been out of work for more 10 months.  Before this our scores were both around 702.  At the time of filing in June report said 505.  Will it go up after the discharge?  My attorney says when we can afford it, get a new car loan to improve credit.   But I keep seeing posts about applying for credit card or secured loan.  All opinions and advised accepted.

I think mine was in less than a week.

My score wa 485 when I filed chapter7. Within 3 months of being discharged I got 2 capital one credit cards and my score shot up to 597.

So it doesn't take long after you file to build back up. Still have a ways to go but cap1 definitely gave me a great start
