Hello all
This is a follow up from my last post but had a question or so.
My final payment posted on March 31. I talked to my attorney's office and as of last week they still have not received the paperwork from the Trustee that I need to sign for Discharge.
How long should that take? I know things take time but as you can imagine, I am very anxious to get this over with. I DID get a letter from the trustee for my employer to CEASE (as they put it) my wage directive immediately. That was written the day after my final payment posted. So there is movement.
I have been emailing my paralegal but no answer as of yet. And I will keep doing that as well
Anyone else gone through this? I am in the Northern Texas District.
Thank you so much
Todd
Just an update. According to NDC, my case closed April 28. I did send in my request for discharge back to trustee, through my attorney. The 22nd was the final day (21 day limit) that anyone could dispute. As far as I know, things are good.
Also, the trustee filed the proof of pre-petition that all payments to mortgager are complete and they responded and agreed.
Now it's just waiting and hopefully next week I'll hear something really positive. I'm hopeful for a refund as I did overpay my "total to be payed into plan".
I appreciate the continued good thoughts and will update as we keep moving forward!

Today, after 5 long years, I received my discharge notification. I am telling I would never wish that on anyone but I am so grateful I have made it and am ready to start my life over in essence.
Thank you to all of you who have helped me. This forum is such an important source for so many!
