Getting approved for loans after bankruptcy. HELP!

I am having a hard time finding a loan. my chapter 7 bankrupycy was discharged in march this year. I now have a secured Discover card and a fingerhut account, but I can't seem to get an installment loan. I bank with key but i'm not sure if they would approve me for a line of credit. any suggestions on building my score? (can't go back to Capital one). Thanks in advance for the help Smiley Happy

Self Lender would be a good option for you if you’re just trying to add an installment loan to build credit.

Re: Getting approved for loans after bankruptcy. HELP!

My discharge was in July 2018. I joined a credit union and applied for a credit building loan (didn't require credit check). Its a loan that they fund into a CD and after 12 monthly payments it gets released to me. It is already showing on my credit as an installment loan. I also have two secured cards: discover and Sunwest. Three lines of credit and my scores are climbing fast.
