Hey guys,
I am making this post because I saw another thread mentioning docketbird and people paying to have their name removed from Google. DO NOT PAY Docketbird to remove your name as this service is offered for free by Google.
Use the following steps:
1) Run a Google search of your name and if you find a Docketbird result, open the website.
2) On Docketbird, there is an option to remove your listing from their website. Click on that.
3) You will get to a page with a free option and an option to pay $59.99 to have Google quickly remove the result. Select the free option.
4) Once you have confirmation that your information was removed, go to https://search.google.com/search-console/remove-outdated-content
5) On this page, select "New Request" and enter the Docketbird URL where your case used to be located. Ex: https://www.docketbird.com/court-cases/John-Smith/bkcasenumber
6) Google will immediately verify that the page no longer exists and remove the page from their results within 5 days. You can check the status on that page at any time.
There you have it. Docketbird charges people $59.99 to do something that Google offers for free and you can do yourself. I posted this as I found my name on Docketbird as the first result on Google and found another Myfico thread but there was no mention of the free removal via Google.
I hope this helps and good luck. Also, the removal took can be used if you remove your information from other websites and they still show up on Google.
