Hello my fellow MyFicoers. My CH 7 was discharged in October 2017. Unfortunately I also had to include Lowes even though I had a small balnce of a couple hundred dollars. I really would love to get back in with Lowes again. How long after discharge does it take to get back in their good graces? Thanks.
From what I've seen on here. They like a couple years after BK if burned and a score of 670+. There have been approvals and denials. So its a YMMV with Sync. maybe someone has more DP's. Its a toss up. I believe Home Depot is more forgiving. But dont write in stone.

Well, Synchrony is pretty forgiving in general. I included a couple Synch cards in my CH7 discharged in Jan. 2011, my first Synch card was a Walmart store card on 2/1/13, right at two years. I had a $0 balance on my Lowes card so it was not listed in my filing but when they got notices on the other cards they closed Lowes but fortunately just marked it as 'closed by credit grantor'. I app'd & was approved for a new Lowes card in Jan. 2015, Low $737 SL but I called in and explained that I wanted to buy some new flooring and the rep increased it to $5k, today it has a $15k limit.
But Synch doesn't like to be the first one to grant you credit after a BK, I had a secured card and Best Buy MC before I app'd for Walmart. What other cards do you have and what is your FICO score look like? Synch pulls Transunion exclusively.

Well, you've done a good job of rebuilding your credit. But for Lowes/Synchrony you need to get your TU score up in the range of EQ & EX. What's holding down TU so much lower?
Hi DAVEINAZ. What's weird is the situation with NASA CU. I included NASA IIB and they had reported the account as closed and with a closed on date, on both EX and EQ. However, the account status on TU still reports with zero balance, "no closed date" but remarks as "Included in Bankruptcy". I think that is detrimental and is holding down my TU score.
Thanks, pizza1. I will try to get my TU situation cleaned up and then try for LOWES again.
