Is BK right for me?

So, I am considering bankruptcy as I feel it may be my only option.

I am on SSDI making a little over $13K a year. Have at least $24k in CC debt currently.

My debts are as follows:

Indigo MC - $144.74 / $300 CL

Chase - $463.19 / $500 CL
First Premier - $940.02 / $1,000 CL
Target - $1,085.59 / $1,100 CL
WalMart - $1,463.27 / $1,500 CL

Capital One QS - $1,471.73 / $1,450 CL
PayPal MC - $2,045.02 / $2,000 CL

Capital One QS1 - $2,143.95 / $2,150 CL
CareCredit - $1,377.11 / $3,000 CL
Best Buy Citi - $3,553.28 / $3,500 CL
PayPal Credit - $3,589.73 / $3,700 CL
Barclaycard - $4,283.01 / $4,200 CL
Amazon - $5,103.39 / $5,000 CL

 Another question:

As you can see I have both PayPal Credit
and the PayPall Mastercard.

Obviously I'll lose those.  Both accounts are linked to a normal PayPal account. No money is in it. Does anyone have any exprierence with this? Will I also lose my PayPal account?

Before you go the bankruptcy route, have you tried credit counseling first? I know that a stretch, but there may be a plan to try before filing bankruptcy.

Re: Is BK right for me?

Realistically, you could probably settle for half of you balances over the next year or two.

Could you pay off 12k in the next 24 months or so?

Yes, BK would work assuming you do not have a spouse with high income but if you can afford $500 per month, you could probably avoid BK.

Rebuild started in 2014  -  $100k unsecured credit in 2017  -  $500k unsecured credit in 2024.
