Is there anything at all I can do between my 341 and discharge??

Or is it ONLY a waiting game. I'm just wondering if there is something I could be doing now? Our 341 was 9/1. So would anticipate another month til discharge.

nope. You wait......You could pull all your reports, and get head start on making sure all the acts that were IIB, are reporting correctly as IIB/$0 ball.

So, if I pull them now they should already say IIB?

I opened a credit builder loan at my credit union ($300) and then took the $300 they gave me back and opened a secured OpenSky credit card (no credit check).   I also made sure all my accounts reported at 0 and showed IIB.

I highly recommend starting right now.  Many lenders want to see 6 months or 12 months or 24 months of rebuilding since the date you filed, so the sooner you start the better off you will be.

Worked great for me.  My scores are just under 700 with two months left until 24 months post discharge.  I have 60K in my own cards (no junk cards, no comenity), and 50K in authorized user cards.

I could have 200K by now, but I have a careful plan I'm following to only get quality cards and to get back in with major lenders with good reward cards.

I never got Credit One or First Premier or any of the crap predatory cards.  And I still have the $300 I invested in my secured credit card.

I did the credit builder and OpenSky card the day after the 341 meeting.

I reviewed my reports to make sure everything was IIB.  Other than that I waited until I was discharged and began my rebuild.

Thank you for the wealth of knowledge I have learned from these forums. I am logging off as of November 9, 2022. I wish everyone great success.

Use this time to plan your new budget(s), fix your credit reports and plan your rebuilding period. But wait until you have discharge in hand to pull the trigger on actually applying for credit.

Re: Is there anything at all I can do between my 341 and discharge??

So, I pulled a report last night. I have three "bad" cc one showing iib and the other two say closed, charge off. At this point.... Because I'm not discharged is that accurate?

Also, my report has the four negatives (3 cc and the bk) but lists 17 positives including our mortgage... Like other than our three bad cards we have never had a late or missing payment on any loan or cc. Any ideas how that will look when all is said and done?? Like will the positives stay, or are those wiped out with the ch 7 also?

I personally waited until discharge to open any accounts at all....even a new savings account. I just didnt want any possible question that I was totally above board. It helped me sleep at night....although yes, it was frustration to feel like nothing was moving. The credit report should already be reporting the BK7 and accounts should already by reporting it...I don't think they have to report the accounts closed until discharge though....but most of mine did early anyway.

BTW history on old accounts not included in BK7 stays on all the reports. And experian reports the payment history on discharged accounts even after discharge.
