Looking for input on fixing credit reports after BK7

Long story short...4 days later...

Experian is completely cleaned up...Everything is reporting correctly. My FICO jumped from 543 to 568 !

My authorized user status has been removed showing 98% UTIL. I am hoping once my 2 Cap1 cards start reporting on Nov 21 with 9% UTIL I will get another pop to start my rebuild...

Disputed TU and awaiting a manual review...How long should I expect this to take ? Do I call or wait for a manual response ?

Just wait out the potential 30 days for the dispute to be resolved. Hope you get a bump for some positive TL's reporting. Good luck!

Re: Looking for input on fixing credit reports after BK7

Some good news today. TU just notified me all of the incorrect information has been removed and the few correct items have been updated to reflec my status.

So now both EXP & TU are mirror images of each other...TU sits at an ugly 500 before its updated. Fingers crossed EQ does their job and corrects the worst of the 3 reports.

My 2 new Cap1 cards will start reporting next week...I want to apply for a 3rd trade line. I am getting my dad's discharge papers and basically going to beg NFCU to take me. They could really set me back on the best path to credit freedom...This board is amazing wish there was someway to repay the posters who have helped me so much...

Scupra will do ! What do you think ? Should I wait till my last report is cleaned before I head into NFCU ? I called they said I qualify and they pull credit. Chex systems is cleaned already. I would consider this my 3rd open account and also do a loan with them....Just not sure if I should wait a few weeks to open my accounts or just go for it ?

Re: Looking for input on fixing credit reports after BK7

How I'm reading your post is you're not even a member with NFCU yet. If that's the case you need to see if you're eligible.

You mention your dad's discharge paperwork, was he retired? If he didn't retire it's not likely you'll qualify for membership (from what I've heard).

Also, don't expect them to give you a loan right away, a credit card maybe. I've been with them for over a year, have a 5,000 card, 18,000 card and 15,000 loc and the wife has a 9,000 card, but they still won't approve us for any loan products.

Good luck.
NFCU Rewards - $18,000, NFCU Signature - $18,000, NFCU LOC - $15,000, Care Credit - $7,700, Lowe's - $6,400, Capital One QS - $5,000, Walmart - $5,000, Amazon - $4,000

Absolutely wait until your reports are clean before applying for NFCU. Many people have had to recon so clean reports will help.
