No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I filed CHAPTER 7 bankruptcy in may and was dischanged first of August. I ahve applied for multiple cards. Starting with Credit One since I read that in a forum. I have tried several store cards and I am alwats denied. I have been approved for a vehicle through Kia but dont know if that is a smart move to start rebulding. I need HELP!! I dont know what to do! I feel like I am stuck with crappy credit despite the bankruptcy!
I have read that backwards and forwards but cant get approved for ANYTHING! Thats my problem!
With the recent discharge and a number of attempts, you may have too many hard inquiries at this point.
I know the guide says not to get a secured card, but my USAA secured AMEX does not report as secured. Something like that may be an option.
Other than that, I can only suggest patience and waiting a few months. Pulling credit reports to make sure everything discharged in the BK are actually reporting $0 balances and IIB language.
Thank you for the advise. I will continue with patience and hopefully will start getting offers soon!
There is nothing wrong about starting with a couple secured credit cards. It worked fine for me.
