Man what a ride, 5 years finally done - discharge issued 12/29/22, today was approved for the following (time to garden)
CapitalOne $10K, 25.24% APR (middle range for APR)...CapOne showing lots of options on PreApproval
WF $3K, 29.24% APR...WS showing ZERO PreApproval options
WF showing Fico9 at 675 (why they give me 9 when everyone uses 8 I'll never know)...WF Internal Underwriting Fico8 showing 744
CapOne showing Fico8 at 648
For additional datapoints - have 3 secured cards (my trustee didn't view secured cards as loans)
USB Cash+ eligible for graduation 12/22 - did not graduate (I'm sure having an open 13 caused this), they say they'll keep checking monthly to see if it's eligible to graduate
USB Alt Go - eligible for graduation 3/23
NFCU cashRewards - graduated 8/22, $1K limit
USB Burned in 13
NFCU/CapOne/WF not burned
Can't wait to see the score start to grow, especially once the mortgage starts to report again
Congrats on your road to recovery. I got the Active Cash a few months ago. Its was a FICO 9 pull. $10,000 from Cap1? Really? Heres to your graduations upcoming. Good Luck!

Very nice, 10k with cap one is amazing! Time will fly by, I'm already 15-16 months post discharge. You got this. I noticed cap one upgrades fairly quick too.
Congrats on the DC and the approvals!🎉

@Anonymous was confident I'd get an approval, maybe $1K or something because they've been stalking me for the past year with "pre approvals" but yeah, I truly almost fell out of the chair with CR
Thanks again to everyone here for the advice over the years, hopefully my advice over this time has helped others too
@Lurker22 Congrats!
question on the mortgage reporting again. Are you refinancing the loan or able to get the lender to start reporting again on expiating loan?

not refi'ing at all (my rate is WELL below current rates) about 14 months ago BOA sold my mortgage to NationStar (aka Mr. Cooper) - BOA stopped reporting at the time of filing (which is what they're required to do), they've updated my credit report at the time of transfer to NationStar to show last payment 11/01/21, Closed 11/02/21 - they did not report any monthly information so it's all marked at "unknown"...they will not go back and update this info (which I'm ok with)....NationStar has not reported anything to my CR and will not go backwards either BUT they will immediately begin reporting going forward .... so once that starts reporting again it should in theory begin to help with my FICO scoring ... NationStar told me it's an automatic process, we'll see......(everything on the internet says their customer service sucks, my lawyer said they suck....IMO they're so much better than BOA and honestly I've had nothing but good experiences in dealing with them)
@Anonymous- take my keyboard away!!!
pushed my luck, did a pre-qual for the Verizon Visa, said they'd approve me for $4K, and asked if I wanted to proceed with an application.....30 seconds later approved for Verizon Visa for $4K.... (pushed my luck before VZW Visa and tried for USB Shopper - hard no, not even going to call recon, too much activity now)
ok Garden Time for sure now
PS will you please pick me up off the floor!
