As an update to everyone after disputing with all 3 bureaus, the CFPB and the BBB, I've had it deleted from all 3 bureaus though for some reason, my Experian score hasn't gone back up yet and the other 2 have so hopefully that will happen soon.  On another note, I FINALLY got approved for a Walmart cc.  Granted, it's only $500 but was hoping to have it for Christmas as cash is tighter this year than last due to a new car bought this year but I finally got it!! Excellent! They run and delete on ce someone fights them on their unlawful sneaky tactics. Wonder how many fall for their BS.EX will update.

Re: Midwest Recovery Systems

So they just hit my credit report the other day. They have never even sent me one notice. They said its a payday loan from Highlands Holdings. From 2012 for 795.00. I talked to a guy name Jeff he always answers the BBB complaints from their email. I have googled Highlands Holdings and they have tons of complaints of FAKE payday loans. They said Obrien and Wexler sent me to collection. Also if you Google them as well, they also have tons of complaints for FAKE paydays. So I decided to call Obrien and ask about this debt they say I owe and the guy that answer said they don`t keep records in their office. How do you collect on a debt that you have no records? He says Midwest Recovery System has all the records. I told him this is FRAUD and will be filling a complaint with the Police in the Morning. After I mention Police I got hung up on. How do these people sleep at night?

Anyone ever hear of Highlands Holdings before?

There are so many fake names linked in my research when I got nailed. Just follow the file with the BBB and CFPB, and it will return back to normal.

Re: Midwest Recovery Systems- Update

I had to file a BBB complaint against this company for doing the same thing to me. They tried to get me to pay 640 for a payday loan I never took out from 2012. I simply stated that if they did not remove this from my credit I would be suing them for violation of the FCRA. And on top of that payday loans are illegal in my state and are illegal to try and collect on. They continued to try and make up excuses and tried to convince me that I did take out this loan. The funny thing was they didn't have a contact number from the original creditor which was closed down in 2013 and they also didn't have a original amount of the said debt. I already have a lawyer thats going to take the case if they don't remove this.

Re: Midwest Recovery Systems- Update

Update the account has been removed from experian. I hope it will be gone from the other bureaus soon. If they put this back on I'm suing them for sure. We need to stand up to these scammers.
