I read in a previous topic "- NASA FCU: They like you to be 2 years post BK with rebuilding on revolving TL's" Is it safe to continue to use my savings account with them after my discharge? I enjoy NASAFCU and they offer great TL's and would like to keep my savings account and try to get back in with them eventually for credit.
It is safe to use your savings account with them. If no action was taken during your bankruptcy case, then the credit union is isn't going to be able to go after your savings account after discharge and the expirations of all deadlines.
credit unions will not let you obtain credit if you burned them in your BK
yes they may have a 2 year rule - that may be for those that did not specifically burn them - just a general waiting period /rule they have set

@MyDataMyChoice I guess I'll go ahead and close this savings account then if they won't lend to me anymore.
How much did you burn them for? Are you going to repay it?

@MyDataMyChoice $30,000 and no I will not be repaying that back.

In the same boat but with Navyfed. 13k which I will not repay them. Their products are not that worth it ![]()
