Well it was a no go. I'm sure I rushed it. They recommended to apply for the secured card. I may consider this. As it stands Cap One has been generous with QS1 and the lower level Spark for business card. I'll use this to get some positive history going.

If they recommended applying for the Secured card, just do it.

You should be able to get it, and you will have your foot in the door, and you clearly intend for them to see how wonderful of a responsible user you will be, so it will be a no-brainer for them in the "near" future to approve as Un-Secured.

NAVY is Great ! ! !

Have to agree! After about 4-6 months of the secured app for an unsecured again. Then when the secured graduates you will have 2 NFCU cards Smiley Very Happy

Re: NFCU question.

FYI... Secured cards are automatically reviewed for graduation after 13 months. If you apply for an unsecured card before that and end up with two unsecured cards down the road, you may be splitting your maximum credit limits amongs two different cards (e.g. if you qualify for $25k, and one card is at $10k, the second card's limit may not be higher than $15k).

Just something to think about.

Recently we have seen some early upgrades which is amazing. I agree on max exposure as well, but as the forums show its not hard to get past $50k max exposure Smiley Happy
