Hello, my 341 meeting was several weeks ago and lasted all of 5 minutes. I have a couple questions.
The trustee filled out their report of no distribution and entered it into pacer that same day. They requested that they be released from their obligation after having done their due diligence in distributing my non existent assets. The deadline to file an exemption by creditors is mid April.
1. Is discharge about a week after that date?
2. I filed my taxes after this and am expecting a refund of 1k. The trustee only asked me if I had filed all prior year returns to which I replied I had. Is this most recent refund money I should expect to be keeping?
3. A small student loan is listing as closed on my credit report due to BK7. I thought these loans were exempt from Bks?
4. My tax history isn't displaying on the IRS website due to my bankruptcy. Why?
Thanks for your insight, take care!

1. Is discharge about a week after that date? Discharge is 60-90 days after the meeting typically

3. A small student loan is listing as closed on my credit report due to BK7. I thought these loans were exempt from Bks? Student loans are not dischargeable unless you can prove you can never pay them back, mine showed closed during it then showed active months laters after discharge
4. My tax history isn't displaying on the IRS website due to my bankruptcy. Why? This one I don't know the answer to so hopefully someone else will chime in.

Congrats on getting this far and now just awaiting discharge! Make sure you go over your reports 30 days after discharge to make sure its all reporting right.
Were they private SL's and not govt? Main reason I filed was the IRS. DC'ed in Nov and got my refund the next year. The Bankruptcy Code prevents certain types of debt from being discharged in bankruptcy proceedings, including debt incurred as part of an "educational benefit." But private student loans don't fall into this category, according to a July 2020 court ruling.
