Yes, a CO is one of the worst things on a` CR. They can't CO or even report late after filing, because once you file that debt is under the jurisdiction of a federal judge and they must wait for the judge's eavlauation & decision. After discharge they can't CO or even report late as the debt no long exists, it has been removed/eliminated by a federal judge.
Are you citing any case law in your disputes on the late payments/CO reported after filing?
That thread is a good read, thanks for the link - I booked marked for future references on questions about post-filing late & CO reporting.
No, I wouldn't cite a case decision in disputing, only if creditor refuses to correct the incorrect & illegal reporting. Both the credit bureau & creditor should be aware of those decisions.
Yes, they certainly should be aware of them, however it did not prevent them from reporting incorrectly. This is going to be a long week.
Well, I tend to give folks the benefit of doubt - if they're reporting correctly to one credit bureau and incorrectly to another it's likely just an error in how they report to that CB. If they refuse to fix the error, then I get tough with them. Don't get stressed out, rebuilding credit after BK is a marathon, not a sprint. If you get everyting fixed in a month or so your CR will be fine the next time you apply for credit, and you don't want to make too many credit inquiries too soon after discharge.
16 errors on my husbands Exp And Tu report. Haven't even recd Equifax as of yet. A bit of sprint, since he needs a vehicle.
Fastest way to dispute is online, on the CB's website - you have 30 days to reaccess the reports through annualcreditreport.com.
Not hearing such great things on disputing online. Need to look into this a bit further. Thanks
