I was approved for Discover IT (I never burned them) so it was a surprise that they approved me 5 months post d/c.

As for AmEx, I'm an Authorized User on my future wife card. (I actually thought AmEx won't approve AU with BK, I guess I was wrong). I know AmEx won't approve anyone with BK for I beleive minimum 5 years post d/c. I will try applying after my 5th year d/c in 2020

Congrats on that discover it card I also did not burn them but they didn't approve me for one
Go figure as for my citi I think I sneak thru the cracks some how lol as to how I do not know I know they don't approve with bk some say 6 -7 years but I won't call them and complain lol .

That was going to be my question.  How did you get a Citi card that close to discharge?  When did you get it?

How I got approved your guess is as good as mine.. I haven't call to ask them why did you approve me for this card if I have a BK
