I am going to be discharged for chapter 7 at the end of the month and I would like to get a game plan together. I read the road to 700 and would like to implement that strategy. I burned NFCU, Cap 1 and Credit 1 in my BK, so I need to find another card. I plan on getting a First Premier Card but am not sure who else I can use for my second card. I do not want to get any store cards. Any suggestions?

If you're looking to go the secured route Id day opensky, otherwise see if you can get back in with cap1, tho I hear they usually blacklist for 1 year after you burn them
Nobody else is saying it yet so I will. As I was told. Stay away from first premier at all costs. You're better having nothing than them. As for cap 1. I've seen many say day of discharge qualifying for cap1 sec or nonsec. Even with burning them for varying amounts YMMV but worth a shot. Hold off on first premier. How's your chexsystems looking? Try local CUs. Get sec cards through them. Or like me to my surprise my CU told me straight up (there's no way were gonna be able to approve you for unsecured right out of BK. Day later. Appd and approved for unsecured... Just please for the sake of what I've been told. And the fact my roommate has a FPremier card..... Don't do it.
While you await your bankruptcy discharge, spend some time reading the threads in the REBUILDING section of this forum. You will see a lot of good tips, advice, feedback, etc.

Thanks for the advice. I cleared up my Chex with my BK so it is clean. I will avoid FPB. Any suggestions on CU's in Southern California? I work in OC and live in the IE.
