My husband and I are considering bankruptcy. We are current on every account right now but have a hone that needs things. Due to income we will have to file chapter 13. Should we wait to file bankruptcy and address the furnace and a/c in the home prior to filing? We would need to not pay things for a few months in order to do that. Our furnace is 12 years old and the a/c 30+. We do plan to stay in the home. Obtaining credit would be near impossible due to debt usage.
