Good to know. However, have you figured out how to request a copy of our own consumer report?

I searched that website, and I didn't see anywhere on there that we can freeze our info, ask for a report,  etc...

Re: Transunion now using LCI instead of Lexis Nexis

I'm starting to get tired of all of these hidden credit bureaus that think they're above the law.

If they're publishing consumer data, than they need to provide consumers a copy of the report, period.

Re: Transunion now using LCI instead of Lexis Nexis

Thanks for the making us aware! It is so disrespectful for these companies to share our information without disclosing to us. Maybe I am jumping the gun here but I’ve just sent LCI a non disclosure request/ credit freeze since the FCRA clearly states any company that shares consumer information must comply with their laws. I will attach what I sent below (do so at your own risk of course)

OP thanks for this information!

(I sent this to their email from their consumer information report page on their website) email: CIR@lciinc.com

Date:

LCI / LCI Consumer Center

P. O. BOX 1582

Burlingame, CA 94010

To Whom It May Concern

I am writing to you to put a security freeze on the disclosure of my credit. Also, I wish to opt out of any credit reporting done within my personal information. Under the Fair Credit Report Act you’re required to comply. I do not give you my permission to disclose my information. My details are below:

  • Name:
  • SSN:
  • Address:
  • Previous Address:
  • Primary Contact Number:
  • Credit details: Anything

I’ve included the following two documents that verify my identity:

  • Drivers License
  • Social Security Card

After this credit freeze and non disclosure request has been filed, can you also please send me written confirmation to the address listed above.

Kind regards,

@MyDataMyChoice thanks for the info. Has LCI responded to your email? I also browsed their site and was unable to find any info on how to freeze report. Any updates please keep us informed. Thanks!

Re: Transunion now using LCI instead of Lexis Nexis

I literally just got a response from them, see below...

To whom it may concern,

We have received your request for a consumer report and/or credit freeze.  LCI is not a Consumer Reporting Agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.  We do not hold/process/etc. “Consumer Reports” and therefore cannot provide the information requested.

As a courtesy, for your reference we have attached a copy of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and information on how you may request a credit freeze.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please let us know.

Best Regards.

Sounds like a generic response as an attempt to scare me off. I just sent a complaint to the CFPB, let’s see how this goes. Lol
