I am now just over two years post chapter 7 and I thought I'd give an update/data points for some items. This year I've successfully opened the following accounts. Prior to this year (2026) I had only opened a few starter cards to use to rebuild.
2026 accounts
Mazda Financial Loan - 2.8% apr on a 2026 Cx-50
Venture Capital one - $5,000 limit (opening august 18th) Full welcome bonus of 75,000 miles - They auto upped my limit to $5,500 two weeks ago
TD Double cash card - $5,000 limit ( opened October 1st) $200 welcome bonus and 0% apr for 12 months and 0% apr for 15 billing cycles on balance transfers
Venture X - $15,000 limit (Opened today) Interested DP as I had previously only had the venture for two months prior to checking the pre approval tool. Came with the $300 stay credit and 75,000 welcome miles
All Fico 8's are in 700s albeit low (702-710)
