Hey guys! It's been a couple of years.
I've been an AU on my mom's Discover for a few years now. I've never even had the card in my possesion and certainly never used it. But in the process of BK7 and I need advice. I'm wondering if this will affect her account or CR in any way? Also, if I remove myself or have her remove me, how long do I need to wait before actually filing?
Thanks!

Your bankruptcy would not end up on her credit report, nor would it affect that account, since you have no legal obligation to the debt anyway. Because of this, I would say it doesn't matter if you file for BK while being an AU.
I am speculating, you should wait and see if somebody can corroborate my reply.

No. Your just a user. Mom will be fine. You can file anytime. Your on your own.
I appreciate the replies. I hope you two are right. I've read some conflicting things online.
