I'll celebrate my No-Asset BK7 filing 1-year Anniversary on March 31st.
Capital One was IIB on that fateful day...Two cards (QS1 and Platinum) for a total of less than $4k.
I've flirted at their Pre-Qual site a few times in recent months but there's no love interest being shown...not even a smile.
Even apped a couple of times only to get immediately shown the cold shoulder with a SP.
Will they ever hold me close again?
Are you yet worthy?
I would like to believe so.
I have kept new credit utilization under 30%, payments are all on time, and I've learned my lesson.
I'd like to be able to say goodbye to CreditOne before the annual fee hits and I'd love Capital One to be the one that allows me to do so.
With that said, I'm coming up on a graduation possibility with my CU on a secured card they gave me almost a year ago.
If that happens Cap One will become a distant memory along with CreditOne.
Remember that they only forgive when it's one year POST CHARGE OFF and not one year post file date. If your accounts were current or at least somewhat current and not yet c/o up until the day you file then Cap1 waits one month past this date to ensure that your CH7 sticks. I filed Aug 16 and I didn't get approved for QS1 until the end of Sept 17. And even then, the prequalifier did not have anything for me but I applied anyway knowing that if I was still on their blacklist they wouldn't hard pull my credit but I was approved for a QS1 and offered a Platinum.
You will get back in CapitalOne. Just give yourself some time.
I got back in with CapitalOne and it was after the year 1 mark.
When I got back in, I got a quicksilver for $1000. Credit line double on that. A few later years later, I got a Venture Card. Last year I another Capital One Quicksikver card for another 10,000. I consilated them to a total of $24k.
My keep wroking to improve your credit. You will get back in Cap1, hust give it time.

I'm nearly 3 years post d/c and still no love from them. I wanted to get back in with them early in my rebuild, but no longer care. Their products aren't all that great IMO.
