Applying for CIC and CIU with the same HP?

I got approved for CIC yesterday (applied online). It was a quite expensive card application, in terms of HP (inquiries on both EX and TU). Is it possible to use the same HP to submit an application for CIU?

If yes, shall I do it in branch, over the phone or online? Also, shall I unlock my credit reports prior the CIU submission, in case that they want to do SP?

Congrats on your approval.  I cannot say that I've heard of Chase using 1 pull for more than application.

Perhaps giving it some time...early on, like you my Chase approvals required 2 HP's...most recently with history with them, it's back down to 1...both on the personal and business side.
