I know a thread says you have to have a physical address but when I formed my LLC I used a suite number, that may be a po box at a us post office... I have a sprint business account and I used that address as it's listed in my formation docs... I've been on D&B and I have seen plenty of businesses with a po box and suite #...has anyone recently applied for business credit using a suite or po box # not have an issue?
I would not know about the suite, but a PO box may not be accepted by most, if not all creditors. Also, it can be a problem when a customer wants to visit your workplace or office. Most creditors want to make sure youre the real deal, and not someone trying to hide behind close doors. I never started a business with a PO box (though in the state of Ohio, you do not need to list the business address in the articles of incorporation, only registered agent, which must be not be a PO box). If you have issues, amend the articles, and change it with the irs. You might be able to have additional addresses, like one for main, mailing/shipping, billing, etc, but avoid a PO box for your main. It can rise some red flags

I applied for a Wells Fargo Business Visa and I put down both a physical address and a po box. A week later I got a call from WF stating they couldn't tie me to the physical address I had provided and wanted permission to subsitute my po box on the application instead! If you use your suite address for all your business corresponsdence, advertising, etc. then I would go ahead and use that address since it's legitimate.

Funny you say that I have a WF business account and I used my suite # and had no issue
Yes, WF is normally easy to work with. The sales rep I spoke too was pretty much helpful when I was starting up my bank account with WF. I am now deciding if I should stay with them or move to another bank.
So here is the scoop I did not know about this site prior to starting my business and I started getting involved in the real estate business. Everyone always talks about leveraging their credit to do a deal but they pay someone $$$$ to allegedly get all the right credit cards and lenders to help fund deals... So I knew it would take a while before I actually get my business going since im starting from the ground up... Last year I put in a request to get a free D & B #, and I knew speaking to some investors and my 9-5 that getting my D & B profile is a big deal, so I applied and my application went into pergatory hell... which was a good thing because I did not have anyone reporting on me and I did not have a business bank account... So a couple months after I applied I opened a business account with sprint and a couple months after that I opened a business bank account with WF... two weeks ago I called and to get the status after I applied eight months ago... And I just got called back with my D & B # and I found my information on their website...
I have yet to apply for business credit I was thinking about adding BJS as my first business CC any thoughts?
For the record my LLC has a Suite # and my D & B info as well, I dont get the issue about how this is important when applying to D & B and CC but I guess I will find out soon... but if you go on to the D & B website there are plenty of businesses whom have PO box and suites...
