I just got approved for the Ink Preferred after calling reconsideration line because my online app went straight to decline. Anyway, this card allows me to combine its points and my Chase Freedom points to transfer to airlines, correct?
I am trying to clean things up with my Chase cards. I have CSR now but I don't want to keep paying for high annual fee. I am thinking of downgrading my CSR to Chase Freedom Flex, but then I don't have any cards to transfer to airlines. That's why I got Ink Preferred with 100SUB.
Congratulations on your Chase Approval..
Congratulations on your approval!!
Congrats on your Ink Preferred!!! While I can't answer your questions with certainty, there are some quite familiar with card perks and advantages.

congrats, that is not an easy recon esp from a no. yes it will do as you desire and it also has primary car rental like the csr. just a thought, non of my biz, but if you can put $15k on a card to get a sub then I would think you could do the $300 on the csr to offset the af. in the future the csr might not be an easy card to get. sometimes one has to pay to play. then again my af comes up in a month so maybe I will change my tune lol
edit, so I am seeing there is a $100 credit on the af through this year. at 450 again assuming you can hit the 300 I think the card is a keeper at net 150. another long shot thought, I rented a bmw race car last year at nurburgring. I used the csr not the cip thinking if I wreaked the car I could get hit with the its not a biz expense line. that would be bad. the card is supposed to be used for biz and if a large claim were to be made you can bet they will look at all the angles to try and get out of paying. at nurburgring the car rental joints make themselves look like normal car rentals because they know folks are going to use their primary rental coverage

My CSR annual fee will be $550 + $75 authorized user because it will fall in 2021 year. I just can't justify having that card for that high annual fee especially now Freedom Flex gets the same 3x for dinning which is what I tend to spend a lot, and Authorized user is also free there. I am debating whether to downgrade CSR to CSP or Freedom Flex since CIP will give me what I need "transfer UR to airlines"
That is a wonderful SUB offer.
I do it have the card as of yet (hopefully in will be approved in November) but I believe you are correct!
Congratulations on your approval!👍😉

so you already paid the 450 + AUs this year? if so then there is no need to do anything. its possible that other changes are in store for the csr or else a lot of folks would be doing as you are debating to do. give it some time and see what happens
