Chase Business Ink + US Bank Business Platinum

Hi everyone,

I have a large business expense coming up; renovating one of my beauty salons.

I wanted to apply for the Chase Ink for the $900 bonus then do a balance transfer to US Bank Business Platinum to take advantage of the 18 month 0% apr. The total balance won't exceed $7000.

I have the cash to pay everything off in one go but I wanted to see if this is possible.

Please advise. Thank you!

I don't see why you would bother with a balance transfer and incur a balance transfer fee, when the Chase Ink card will give you 12 months interest free from the outset.

BTW....

1. Welcome to the forum.

2. This thread should be moved to "Business Credit".

Applied to the Ink Unlimited and received the 7-10 day message.

Current chase customer. $13k CSP, $5k FU, $5k Amazon, and $8.8k Freedom.

5/24 status: 1/24

EX: 787, TU: 783, EQ: 791

Inquiries: 2 or less across all

Income: $129,675

Busineas Rev: $186,915 (over $200k projected--year end 2023)

Good luck with it. With Chase it's sometimes good to talk to someone, to speed things up, because the application is often delayed for identity verification.

Approved!

Called recon this morning and went through a bunch of details and was approved for $8k. I plan to call and request a CLI when I receive and activate the card.

Thanks guys!

Congratulations. That's a good starting limit for this card, in my book. Many of the opening round SL's have been 3k and 5k.

I'm not an expert on Chase CLI's, but I think it's preferable to just put some good spend on the card, and wait a while; you might well get an auto CLI in the near future. Lately, this card has been growing. You can verify with @JoeRockhead

Re: Chase Business Ink + US Bank Business Platinum

Congratulations on your Ink approval @Coach_Fotor_338. I was approved for the Unlimited in Dec '22 with a $8k SL. Approved for the Ink Cash Jan '23 with a $4k SL.

I'm not sure that Chase will grant a CLI right off the bat. I suppose there's no harm in asking, and would be a good DP to provide either way. For most people Chase won't approve requested CLIs except every 6 months. However for people with good spend and a good relationship with them they will consider them at 4 months.... and I think @PullingMeSoftly could verify their experience there.

It's been my experience with both cards spending consistently from 30% to 70% of the CL (more in the beginning, on the lower side currently) and PIF, they've given me an auto CLI every 4th statement on each card, like clockwork. The Unlimited went from $8k to $12k, then to $22k, and is currently at $37k (as of a couple weeks ago), the Cash is at $15k and I have a strong suspicion that might get another bump next month, we'll see, but either way I have no complaints. Chase has been very generous to me, hope they are for you as well!
