A month ago I got an offer for an INK account, but both letters didn't have solid APR so I ignored both of them. Being a churner, I'm obv LOL/24, so I mainly ignore Chase or when I begin my churn cycle, make them one of the first few. So FF to last week, I get a checking offer. Go to branch and get the business checking promo. At the end, the Branch Mgr says pre-approved for all 3 INK cards. I roll the dice and opt for one of them, within a minute my phone blows up with credit inquiry notifications. Branch Mgr says under review. Surprised it wasn't instant denial. So now I have hope, I call up and get verification dept requesting document. I submit it and call the next day to verify. Get told it's with documents dept. Call again next day. Get told it's with an analyst. Follow up next day, get told it's with the verification dept. Give it the weekend and figure this am I'd either get a 7-10 day msg or new account when I login. Neither. I call back and a US rep says it's still under review, I express concern that it appears to have gone in a circle, but get assured it didn't and it's still under review. This is quite the vetting process. It's been a week total since app. App status line still giving 30 day/2 week msg depending on which app status number I call. At what point do I escalate to UW and twist an arm to get a decision?
Give it until next Monday and then go to your banker to follow up.
I was in your same position last June and it took almost a month with Chase.
