Hi all,
I recently applied for a Chase Ink Business Card. I got the 7-10 days and called in and was told it was denied. They transfered my to RECON and spoke to a super nice guy who asked a bunch of questions. Put me on hold and said he couldnt get an instant approval but will write a letter to try to push it through. Had 2 Charge-offs during the pandemic and also explained that when he asked.
Has anyone else had a recon that didn't have an instant decision?
What do you think my chances are?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Sorry I don't have experience with that, but wanted to mention that you should ask a moderator to move this thread to "Business Credit".

Don't hold me to this but I don't think you have a great chance unfortunately. Keep trying recons but from what I understand Chase isn't very derog friendly.
Thank you for your opinion. I was also thinking the same thing![]()
Any update on this? I applied for my first Chase business card, was isntantly denied. Called recon and they said I had a charge off payment in 2018 regarding Chase. The charge off was nearly 10 years ago though, but paid for less to settle even after it was about to fall off statute of limitations. Since then, I've been approved for several personal Chase cards after calling reconsideration on my first card back with Chase. All others after were instant approvals.
