I burned chase several years ago. I had three personal cards. Last spring, in the middle of lockdown, we managed to settle with them. A few months later, we received an SBA loan and opened a business account with Chase, with me as the primary. Fast forward to now, I've received two mailers with codes on them to apply for the Ink unlimited. I was wondering, is this a pre qualifier or just marketing? Would chase be more lenient to approve a business card after i burned them with the personal cards, though I did settle with them eventually?
Marketing.
Unless the invites specifically state they're pre-approved offers, then they're just run-of-the-mill solicitations. To determine whether you have any pre-approved offers, there's 2 ways to check - online, if you see any green checkmark/black star offers with a solid APR. Or, in-branch with a personal/business banker to see if your customer profile has any offers.
Unfortunately, they wouldn't be any more lenient whether they were personal cards or not. On the plus side, you've settled the obligations so that definitely can help you with getting approved in the future.
