Chase Ink goes from 30 day message to 7-10 day message? Success or failure?

The subject says it all.

For first 7 days of checking the automated application status line, it was a 30 day message.

Now it's gone to we will notify you of our decision within 7-10 business days...

Is that more than likely a denial or just their normal process?

Hard to say but good luck and let us know the outcome

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Chase Ink goes from 30 day message to 7-10 day message? Success or failure?

I got "call us immediately with this ref#" .. never called .. phone message went  from 30 days to 7-10. I still didn't call.

Then got letter asking me to verify EIN & physical  business  address. I called, very nice girl said to send copy of SS-4 and she said a copy of my state sales tax license would serve as proof of biz address. I am putting them in the mail today.

She said they already pulled credit but would not say if it was approved pending that verification  of info.

I have more than 5 cards in last 24 months but considering that Ink is supposed to start falling under the 5/24 rule in March, it will be interesting to see what happens since they won't get & process my verification  info til after March 1st.

I just got a cap1 Spark so no skin off my nose if Chase doesn't want my money LOL

well, your application was submitted before march so they should honor that. also, when they say to call with ref# that's verification so you probably shouldn't have stalled if you're wanting a quicker approval. if everything (verification wise) checks out you should be ok.

they never asked for veriication.  I got  a couple of targeted mailings from them for the card.  My business banking has been at Chase for 5 years and was approved for a Ritz a few months ago with a $16k limit.

I'm hoping if it is a denail I can recon and ask if they can move some of my limit if that would give me a yes to the Ink.

I did call the application status line again and it says "your application is currently under review and we will notify you in 7-10 days"....I don't know if that is different then other 7-10 day messages or not...

You were right. Called 1st thing this morning & it said approved $10K. Yay. (Ink Cash, not the Ink Plus.)

So sequence was:

2/14/16: Applied online, got "Call us as soon as possible." Gave ref#. Did not call.

2/22/16: Got letter asking for proof of EIN & physical biz address. Called Chase, the girl told me which forms I needed to mail: IRS SS-4 & state sales tax license would work, she said. I was surprised by how pleasasant she was. Didn't ask me anything about my business or anything else. I asked her if my app was approved pending verification of EIN & biz address & she would only say that "it may require further review." I didn't push her for more detail.

2/24/16: Mailed the forms.

3/4/16: 7-10 day msg changed to  "You will be notified in writing within 30 days of us receiving your application."

3/7/16: "30 days" msg changed to "approved."

So .. 3 weeks from app to approval.

5/24 rule definitely did not apply in this case: I've opened 10 new cards in the last year (1 cap1 spark biz & 9 personal).

I called them, said I'm going out of town & asked them to overnight the card; the gal said no problem, it'll arrive in 1-2 biz days via UPS, no fee to me. She said I'd get an email with the tracking #.

congrats! Ink Cash seems like a great card, especially if you have CSP or Freedom on the personal end.

Thanks! I won't bother applying for a Freedom until April 2018 due to the 5/24 rule. I'm curious. Why do you say the Ink Cash is great especially w/CSP or Freedom?

mine ended up being a denial.  I recon'd twice, but still no luck  I asked if they could move some of my $16k Ritz line to this line, they said they used to be able to do this, but can't any longer.

They said my profile actually looks good but said I had to much new credit......which is true and I explained I was in final stages of rebuilding.  He thought I had a high chance of approval after I have some time with current new lines....
