Have been considering diversifying my airline card portfolio for a while, despite my loyalty to AA and having 3 co-branded cards with them.
Prior to yesterday, had the following AMEX cards:
Personal: Gold (w/ 25K Pay over time limit), Bonvoy Brilliant (25K limit), Bonvoy (1 K limit -- a legacy Starwood card)
Business: Marriott Bonvoy (30K limit), second Bonvoy (9K limit)
Heard about the Delta Reserve card deal for 110,000 bonus points and the nifty metal card from a scrapped 747, etc, etc. and wondered if, as a loyal customer who always PIF, carries no balances and had FICO-8 in the 770 range, perhaps I could skate by w/o a HP on my credit file.
So, with the minutes counting down to midnight and supposed expiration of the offer, I logged into the online AMEX account portal, took a deep breath, and pulled the trigger.....
Not more than 15 seconds later, received the APPROVED notice. No HP!!!!! 30K starting limit and an immediate card number that I could use. Further, expedited card delivery without even asking, card promised in 2 days.....
All this joy, to a customer who was black-balled for 30 years, after the Stock Market Crash of 1987 and my subsequent Chaper 7. (I was a early Platinum card holder, when those were first issued, complete with an attached revolving credit line from the Amex Centurion Bank).
More than thrilled with my current relationship with AMEX.
Rehabilitation is possible, with good behavior and enough patience....
Congrats on the AMEX Delta Reserve Approval ! What minimum spend / time frame do you have with this sub / offer ?
For this offer, 110,000 Delta points (which I believe ends on August 3, 2022), the minimum spend is $6,000 during the first 90 days after card is issued. So, there still may be time to partake, if interested....
Good luck!
$30K out the gate is awesome!! WooHoo!! Congratulations on your AMEX Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
