Hi,
I wanted to get an Amex Blue Business Plus credit card. My personal score is 705- experian with 1 paid charge off that happened 6 years ago.
I wanted to know the chances of getting it or should I first go for the personal Gold Card to get into the Amex system. Then later down the road get the BBP Card.
Thanks,
Hey @Anonymous ,
Assuming the score you posted is EX FICO 8 - 705, your personal aggregate UTIL% is in order, and your recent opened accounts are limited (AoAAA). You have a pretty good chance at the personal AMEX Gold. On the business side, AMEX has been a bit pickier (due to the current financial climate), but I think they're easing up.
I think the choice really boils down to your spending habits more than anything; I wouldn't recommend the personal AMEX Gold to someone who doesn't spend on restaurants and grocery purchases at places that accept AMEX (excluding COSTCO).
I'll take this time to point out I would also be looking at SUB's; if you need one, PM me, I can help you with that.
Next time, I suggest adding a little more DP's so that others, including myself, can help give you a much clearer picture of approval odds. ![]()
As always, YMMV.
